Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Phoenix USA steel underbody toolbox for your truck or trailer. So if you are looking for a strong, secure, and weather-resistant underbody toolbox for your truck or trailer, this might be a great option for you to consider. This box can be used on flatbeds, trailers, and utility trucks, and other heavy-duty vehicles. And since this is an underbody toolbox, this is not gonna take up bed space in your truck or trailer, so it's gonna keep storage accessible, but out of the way.

Now, a box like this is going to be typically designed for contractors, truckers, landscapers, and trailer owners who are looking for secure out of the way storage. And a box like this is gonna be great to hold tie downs, tools, chains, and other equipment. Before we go any further, let me give you some measurements just so you have an idea if this is gonna be the right size for you. So looking at the overall length, we're sitting right at 36 inches on the nose it looks like. And then looking at the depth or the width, I'm gonna be measuring from the back of the box all the way to the front of the door.

So hopefully you can see this, my head's not too big to get in the way there, 18 inches wide or deep. And then the height from bottom to top, again, 18 inches. Now, you will need installation brackets and hardware. This does not include that because brackets can be specific to where and how you're gonna mount this. So you do wanna make sure that you have the appropriate brackets that you're going to need to install this that's gonna work best for your particular application.

As you can see, our door here is very reflective. It's a polished stainless steel door, so you can kind of see some of the magic that's going on behind the camera. So this is built to last. This is constructed of heavy-duty, 13-gauge steel, and it has this gloss black powder coat finish, so it's gonna be corrosion-resistant. Again, ideal for being underneath your truck or trailer.

And then this polished stainless steel door is gonna be attractive. I wanna give you a view on the inside, we have this flush mounted T handle. So I'm just gonna bring that down here a little bit. And so as you can see, I do have a toolbox in here just to kind of give you an idea of what the storage is gonna look like. This has 6.75 cubic feet of storage for your gear. And then we do have these cables here that are going to keep the door from opening more than 90 degrees. And it looks like they can be disconnected. There's these carabiners here on either end of the cables. And then around the perimeter here, we do have an automotive-grade seal, that's gonna do a great job of blocking out the elements, whether it might be road spray, rain, dust, things like that. So your gear inside is going to be safe from the weather. I'm giving you just a lower view here, so hopefully you can get a better view of the inside. It's gonna be kind of dark in there, obviously because of the black powder coat. But what I like about this is there's no center post or anything like that. It's just gonna be very open to get your stuff in and out. And you're also gonna be able to see what you've got in there at a glance. So no rooting around for your gear. Now, let go ahead and close this, and this is, as I mentioned, secure storage. I do wanna point this out, these cables, this one in particular, you will have to make sure that it stays inside. Sometimes it can stick out when you're closing it. So just be aware of that. If your door's not closing right away, that cable might be sticking out a little bit. But so to lock this, again, just like your typical flush-mounted T handle, you'll turn that to the center, and then this has the keyhole right here. You are going to get two keys. And so you're just going to be able to easily lock that. And so that handle's not going to go anywhere when it's locked. So your stuff is gonna be safe inside. And then to unlock it, you'll just stick one of those keys in, turn it, and then that's going to unlock that T handle. Then you push it down. I do like this flush-mounted design. Maybe if you're wearing like work pants and you've got a loop on them or something and you're walking by, you're not gonna have to worry about getting that loop stuck on the handle. So it's going to be pushed in and outta your way.
